How can we help?
Answers about bookings, payments and your account.
Bookings
How do I book an appointment?
Open the Salonhop app, find a salon, pick your services, a professional and a time, then confirm. Browsing needs no account; confirming a booking does.
How do I book without the app?
Salons hand out a booking link — it looks like salonhop.com/s/…, and it is often on a QR code in the salon. Open it in any browser and you can pick your services, a professional and a time, then confirm with your phone number and a one-time password.
You are shown a booking reference at the end, and a link to your booking. Keep both: the reference is how the salon finds your visit, and the link is how you open it again to change or cancel it. If you lose the link, call the salon.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Open the booking under Bookings in the app. Cancelling shows you the salon’s deadline and any fee before you confirm — you always see the number first.
Booked on the web instead? Open the link to your booking — it is shown on the page that confirmed it. That page lets you move the booking or cancel it, and it shows the same deadline and the same fee before anything happens. Treat the link as private: anyone who has it can change the booking.
Rescheduling opens the same slot picker you booked with, keeps your booking reference, and keeps the professional you chose.

The salon offered me a different time
Sometimes a salon cannot keep your slot and offers another one instead. The offer arrives as a notification and waits on the booking until you answer it.
Accept and the booking moves to the new time. Decline and it stays exactly as it was.
Can I choose who does my hair?
Yes — you pick the professional when you book, or leave it to the salon if you would rather they decide.
Moving a booking to another time keeps the professional you picked. If you want somebody else instead, cancel and book again.
Can I message the salon?
Yes. Each salon you have booked with has a conversation in the app. Messages are read by the salon’s team, and you can see whether they are online.
How do I leave a review?
After a visit you completed, the booking itself offers you the review — that is the only way in, which is why every review on Salonhop is attached to a real visit.
You can post without your name on it, and it shows as “A verified client”. Salons reply in public, and you can change or delete your review from My reviews.
Payments
When and how do I pay?
At the salon, when your appointment is done. There is no checkout on Salonhop and no money changes hands here.
The price you see when you book is the price the salon has set; our servers recompute it when the booking is written so the two cannot disagree.
Is there a cancellation fee?
It depends on the salon and on when you cancel. Each salon sets its own free-cancellation window — 24 hours by default — and its own fee for cancelling inside it.
We show you the deadline and the exact amount before you confirm. You are never charged when the salon is the one that cancels.

Do I need an account?
Not to look around. You need one to confirm a booking, write a review, message a salon or read your notifications.
How do I sign in?
With your mobile number and a one-time password, with an email address and a password, or with Google. They all reach the same account.
Will you text me?
Only once, and only to sign you in. Salonhop sends a one-time password by text when you sign in with your number — that is the only text message we send.
Reminders and offers go by push notification, and by email when the salon uses that channel and an email provider is configured for your operator; until then nothing is sent by email.
Can I turn reminders off?
Yes. Open Account → Settings and switch off the reminders you don’t want.
Salons send reminders on the channels they use, so switching one on here can’t add a channel a salon doesn’t send on.
Email reminders go to the address on your profile and are sent only when an email provider is configured for your operator; until then nothing is sent by email and the app records it as skipped rather than as sent.
Turning them all off means no reminders at all.
How do I change my details, export or delete my account?
Your name and preferences are editable under Account → Edit profile.
Account → Manage account is where you ask for a copy of your data or close your account. Closing an account can’t be undone, and we ask you to sign in again first.
A data export is recorded, and it is emailed to you only when an email provider is configured for your operator.
